Maria Jean is an American artist-designer. Her work seamlessly synthesizes principles of art and design by hybridizing physical and digital media, melting the boundary between reality and artifice while incorporating thematic and stylistic elements of nostalgia, kitsch, and sex informed by early exposure to canons of the California aesthetic, including the Finish Fetish style and Light and Space movement.
