Kaitlyn Carr (b.1992) is a multidisciplinary visual artist living and working in Portland, Oregon. She earned a BFA with a focus in printmaking from Oregon State University in 2016 and continues to push the boundaries of printed works with unconventional materials and presentations within large-scale, site-specific installations. Between June – September 2024 in collaboration with the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT), Carr’s expansive installation using cut inkjet coated DuPont Tyvek® and wheatpaste, 3000 Yellow Rectangles on a Parking Garage, spanned two six-story exterior facades on a SmartPark Garage in downtown Portland. Other notable printed installations, or prinstallations, include collaborations with Soliloquy Fine Arts, the Yukon Tavern, and Street Soccer USA.

Smaller works have been featured in multiple juried group shows throughout the West Coast, including the 2016 Portland Biennial of Contemporary Art alongside the late Julie Green, Umpqua Community College’s Hallie Brown Ford Gallery in 2017, and Tryst Alternative Art Fair in Torrance, CA in 2024. Her collage series, Navigating Race and Ethnicity is part of the Provost’s Purchase Award Collection at Oregon State University and the Portable Collection by Kent Parks, Recreation, and Community Services.

She was nominated for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Emerging Artists Program in 2016, attended Playa Residency in 2017, and is currently a member of after / time Collective Gallery in Portland, OR.
